Students have been trained as presenters so that during the week, they study a non fiction text in their level and then present it to the class every Friday. Below is the non fiction written report they submit to the teacher as completion of this project.

This site provides amazing phonics printables and activities. It even lets you custom design your own spelling or vocabulary activities. There's many things to explore here but another great tool I found is its focused phonics games.
I am still playing around with this site but so far it looks promising and I can't wait to introduce the kids to it! It provides ready made art to create your own picture or poetry books.

These are wonderful resources from teachers for teachers using the Houghton Mifflin basal readers series for third grade. If your children are reading these stories, these are great resources for study.

This is the system I use to assess my students for instant feedback. It allows me to create easy quick custom quizzes in multiple choice, short answer or essay format. It's also great to create surveys. The students truly enjoy it.
There is plenty to explore at this site including very detailed and creative Science lessons. I definitely recommend giving this site some attention.
